The Best Banana Bread: The smell of banana bread baking attracted many residents to the activity room last Thursday! We made a fresh loaf of banana bread right in the middle of the activity room and ate the entire loaf before dinner! Well most of us did, Edna was smart and saved hers for dessert after dinner!

Arcadia Retirement - Speaker Spotlight!

October 17th, 2011

Arly Barton: Our residents were treated to a wonderful speaker this month. Through the Arcadia Historical Society we were connected with Arly Barton. The Barton family owned the first corn stand in Arcadia. The corn stand help build what we know as the thriving city of Arcadia that our facility just happens to be located in. Our residents also had many memories of the horse and carriage company Arly and her husband had. Vera Sanford, a residents said “I remember your carriages! I always wondered what it would be like to ride in one, but I was already married so I had no excuse!” We were delighted to have her and hope to see her again soon!
